you'd think after spending 6 hours yesterday and 6 hours today on christmas cards i would be so past the holiday spirit. oddly, i am not.
yesterday i went to my scrapbook club and had a mission to complete my christmas cards, and that i did. however i hated them. i still hate them. they werent as fabulous as they were in my mind. so i scrapped them, literally, into the garbage they went when i got home. there went $20.
this morning i woke up, pulled out this pad of paper i bought on friday and said to it, 'bring me my christmas cards!'. and so it did:
i added one embellishment on the front - christmas tree or snowflake brad - that i had in the scrap stash. inside the card is a picture of me in mexico city and i stamped 'feliz navidad'. ... get it??? feliz navidad ... me in mexico ... yeah, i know, im cool.
again, pretty impressed with my creativity. this card making thing might catch on!
i am making my christmas cards this year. part of the card, is the seal for the envelope. i bought blank stickers and stared at them for a couple of hours today. finally at 9:15pm tonight this came to mind:
pretty cool, ey? looks like a designer/pro did these? it was nothing but a stamp, black ink & red marker, red colored pencil and red metallic marker. i am pretty impressed with them.
let's hope the receiver of my cards appreciate them!
this was larry and gary's first thanksgiving. what do you think they are thankful for? formula? momma's sweet kisses? daddy calling them names?
i know their parents are very thankful for them! as we all are. and what a bunch of snuggle bugs they are too!
found this recipe on how about orange or atleast a link to the recipe. super easy to make, though mine arent as beautiful as the ones shown in the recipe.
1 package oreos, finely crushed
1 8oz package of cream cheese, room temperature
white melting bark/chocolate chips*
*i used ghiradelli white chocolate chips
crush the oreos.
add them to the softened cream cheese, mix well.
roll into one inch balls and place on wax paper on cookie sheet.
freeze for 10 minutes.
roll/dip in melted white chocolate.
voila!
i am serving them up in the little gift boxes i made for family on thanksgiving. also to come, new pictures of larry and gary in 'their first official family event!'

charlie was reunited with his brother on friday, so went to see them both on saturday.
i miss them ... and i just saw them yesterday!
