Spring Break 2018.  This year we traveled to Florida to see Dad + Cathy.  Worth every penny and hassle it was to get there.  The warmth on our bodies, the break from the cold temperatures and the bright sun.  We needed it desperately.  

Grandpa made pancakes, took us to the beach and honestly, all the boys wanted to do was swim in their pool and catch the wildlife that lives on their lanai.  Tiny frogs and geckos.  As we were saying good-bye Theo walked out to the back and said good-bye to all the critters.  

We visited Sanibel Island beach.  Max caught on to the body surfing right away.  Was a natural in swimming in the ocean, and quickly adjusted to the saltwater (especially in the eyes).  We found a horseshoe crab.  Max was in his element.  

We took a safari ride through the everglades.  Got to see just about any animal that lives in that habitat.  Our favorite was the ostrich.  Winston followed us along for a few feet.  Theo sat right up front with the driver.  The rest of us, like normal people, sat in the back.  

Grandpa had given the boys these giant shark remote control balloons.  We finally got to put them together.  However the pool was still more interesting than the sharks.  Go figure.  

It was a long overdue trip.  The time away was good for all of us.  Cant wait to go again in 2019.
